A food allergy is a hypersensitivity to a food, and it comes in two kinds. IgE reactions are the immediate, sometimes severe ones most people know, and they are only about one percent of food allergies. IgG reactions are delayed, often mislabelled "sensitivities," and they drive chronic inflammation quietly for years. Most "sensitivity" tests check one of the four IgG subclasses; the Wellness Way BloodPrint reports all four. The fingerprick kit screens 110 of the most common IgG reactions; the blood-draw panel screens the same IgGs plus eight of the most common IgEs.
Your report scores each reacting food from +1 to +4. A +1 is not a free pass: it still means your body has built antibodies to that food, so it comes off the plate with the +4s. Foods you have never eaten can show up too, because the immune system reacts to the protein, not the memory of the meal.

What we do with the results
Reacting foods come out of the diet in a structured way, the gut is supported so it can calm down, and the diet is rebuilt around foods you tolerate. Most patients pair this with a stool test, because food reactions and poor digestion usually travel together.
What this test does not do
A BloodPrint reaction is a signal of inflammation, not a diagnosis of a life-threatening allergy. If you have ever had swelling, trouble breathing or anaphylaxis after a food, that is emergency medicine and you should keep that care exactly as it is. This test is for the slow, nagging reactions that standard allergy work-ups miss. Results are always reviewed with your doctor before you change your diet.

If you are already a patient, the results visit is your standard $400 read appointment. Blood-draw fees at outside labs are separate; the fingerprick kit has none.

No. Skin-prick testing looks for immediate allergic reactions. The BloodPrint looks for the delayed inflammatory reactions that can take up to 72 hours to appear, which are the ones that hide behind eczema, headaches and digestive symptoms.
Can my child take this test?
Yes. The fingerprick kit is the easiest option for children and for anyone who wants to avoid a lab visit. Ask us at the consultation and we will match the version to the patient.
Do I have to give up the foods forever?
Usually not. Reacting foods are removed for a period while the gut is supported, then reintroduced deliberately. Your doctor sets the timeline in your plan.
How long do results take?
Typically three business weeks from the day the lab receives your sample.
Should I also do a stool test?

Why is a food I never eat on my list?
Your immune system reacts to the protein in a food, and proteins overlap between foods. A reaction to something you have never eaten is real and belongs on the avoid list for now.
Will my list change?
Yes. When patients retest a year later, some foods have dropped off, because the immune system changes as inflammation comes down. That is why we retest rather than assume a lifelong list.
